How is it possible to keep yourself in a positive state with all that's going on in the world right now? How can you help bring a transformed point of view to aid in moving beyond the challenges of the world and in your own life as well? Here are the Six Keys:

1. You may begin to contemplate the worst, but you can bring your mind to a higher plane after paying attention to the doom thoughts first. You can transcend the quicksand's pull and move to higher ground. One way to do this is to observe your thoughts and feelings from the state of the witness and then ask this healing question to yourself: "What would my Wise Mind tell me about this?" Almost inevitably, you will be led to an oasis of transformational thinking that will help you to view the situation from a higher perspective.

You can ask this question while relaxing or while going about the activities of your life. Someone who had economic fears allowed his Wise Mind to speak to him: "You have many skills and talents," it said to him. "You have the ability to do many things, and you will always be able to bring in income. Keep up your prayers and positive thoughts." His Wise Mind also gave him specific areas where he could bring in more sustenance. This helped him to feel positive and strong. The Wise Mind question works in a huge variety of circumstances, and everyone can access it, even people new to inner growth.

2. Something else you can do is to use a new kind of affirmation. This idea is from Noah St. John in his recent book, The Secret Code of Success. Instead of sticking with your negative thought, shift it around a bit. Say, "Why am I so...?" (Pick a positive state – like rich, happy, loved, loving – or whatever positive state you're drawn to.) You can say it over and over and even write it down. Here's how you might use it: You might say to yourself, "Why am I so rich and happy? Why do I always manage to do well? Why am I so strong?" This can harmonize with the way the brain works.

3. You can also help yourself to view events that take place as opportunities for learning and enlightenment. Seeing the advantage of everything is a way to have a happy life, no matter what is taking place. This is the great art of reframing, in which you see the lemonade rather than the lemons. This helps you to see the gifts in everything,. You might ask, "How is that situation contributing to my life in positive ways?" Or, "What am I learning from that situation?" The moment you see everything from the point of view of the mountain top, you can look to the essential truths of transformation inherent in all things and events.

One woman saw that the sadness she experienced in childhood was her way of learning to be compassionate for all the sad children of the world. She realized that she could give love to that younger part of herself, and in doing so she felt great healing come into her life.

4. You can assist yourself to find the parts of yourself that are responsible for the problems in life – like the needy, addicted, or shy parts of yourself. These are usually parts of you that need TLC. I call them "frozen pictures in the soul" because they're almost frozen in time in a state of mind that they experienced long ago. You need to "unfreeze" those pictures and move on in your life. You need to give love and care to those parts of yourself so that you don't have the problems anymore, and you can realize that you're living in this moment now. The past then loses its power over you.

5. Some sages and prophets see in our times that we are entering the Golden Age of life on earth and that the current challenging events are but the cleansing of all life on this planet. Because the light is growing stronger, it reveals the gremlins and dark spaces that are in the process of moving away. If you feel this way, now you can take a more hopeful stance in your current world view.

6. Eckhart Tolle says that he's fine no matter what happens. The secret to his equanimity and happiness is this "I accept things as they are." Are you able to feel this way? Some people have a web site they call EWOP. It means "Everything is Working Out Perfectly." What do they mean by this? Everything is unfolding as it needs to unfold to create the necessary next steps. This can benefit you greatly.

You have the opportunity to reframe, transform, transcend, and re-see all that is taking place in the world. You can travel to the top of the mountain where you can look down upon the activities of the world as it is and transform your vision of it in a twinkling of an eye. You have magnificent tools for the transformation of the experience of life on earth and have been given the great gift of transcendent vision.
