Career opportunities in Nutrition Consulting and Natural Cooking are dramatically increasing as the value of nutrition becomes increasingly recognized in our society. This new focus on health has become a powerful trend, creating both confusion and job opportunities. In response to an obvious and growing demand, several new professions have been created, among them, the Nutrition Educator, the Nutrition Consultant and the Natural Chef.

Nutrition Educator training provides students with an understanding of whole food nutrition as it contributes to the prevention of illness and the promotion of optimal health. The fundamentals of whole food nutrition, digestive physiology, metabolism, nutritional biochemistry and research are presented. Students learn to conduct an in-depth diet and lifestyle evaluation, and to advise individuals on a diet plan that responds to individual health goals.

The Nutrition Consultant training emphasizes the use of whole, organic, natural foods, nutritive herbs and appropriate supplementation. After graduating, these nutrition professionals work closely with primary care providers.

The Natural Chef Training program prepares students to be adept at preparing delicious gourmet meals that emphasize the nutritional value of food and its power to stimulate the healing process. Natural Chefs work as therapeutic cooks, personal chefs, natural chefs, cooking consultants, or as cooking instructors.
