Mahina's GuestHouse for Women Travelers on Kaua'i

Sharon Gonsalves, owner of Mahina's Women's Guest House, returning longtime OPEN EXCHANGE lister, offers a special haven for women travelers.

Catering to women's sensitivities, Mahina's Women's Guest House on Kaua'i provides a welcoming, friendly atmosphere for your Garden Island vacation. Exotic flowers, crystals and the use of Feng Shui principles add beauty and balance to the environment. Our cozy and colorful bedrooms are named for powerful Hawaiian women (Pele, Hina, Laka and Queen Emma) and invoke aspects of the goddess.

Take a walk on the beach at sunrise, enjoy conversation over breakfast in our garden seating area, then take a quick dip in the ocean before getting on with your day.

Continuing her tradition of providing a sanctuary where women take time for themselves, host Sharon Gonsalves will gladly help you get acquainted with Kaua'i's many hiking trails, places of interest, local events, yoga classes and massage therapists.

Mahina's has been a haven for women travelers from around the world. Since 1997, Sharon and her staff have hosted over a thousand women who've come to Kaua'i seeking rest and relaxation, vacation, outdoor adventure and knowledge (as students of huna or Hawaiian spirituality, lomi lomi massage and crystal healing).

Located on the east side of the island, this quiet, comfortable four bedroom beach house offers shared living and dining areas, shared baths and a fully equipped kitchen where guests can prepare meals, "talk story" and plan trips to beautiful north shore beaches, breathtaking Waimea Canyon, or a tropical botanical garden.

Named one of the Top 50 B&Bs in Hawaii by Arthur Frommer's Budget Travel Magazine (May 2003), let the beauty and magic of Kaua'i bring you closer to yourself in the company of other women.

"Thank you for providing such a relaxing, enjoyable, stress free, hassle-free woman's space."
