For those new to WEEKEND en español®, our full-service Spanish language school, was started 18 years ago by Ronda Calef, an educator with over 35 years of teaching students of all ages. Always a traveler, she has taken groups to Spanish-speaking countries continuously throughout the years. As an innovator she created and designed this unique series of programs which offer a truly natural, interactive, oral communication-based experience in learning Spanish. The classes are structured so as to involve fun, verbal activities in an intimate setting.

We offer on-going Small Group Classes, One-Day and Half-Day WEEKEND Workshops, youth programs, WEEKEND en español® Retreats, tutoring, private and semi-private lessons, custom corporate programs, medical practitioners' Workshops as well as our unique SEMANA en español(TM).

SEMANA en español, an 11-day total immersion program in Mexico, is an extraordinary way to take a vacation, enjoy culture, the arts, and to live the language and life in Spanish. We live together at our private residence in beautiful, colonial Oaxaca. Rich in natural beauty, pre-hispanic history, cultural and artistic production, and world-famous cuisine, the area boasts glorious views, spectacular archeological sites, and many fine artists. You'll have hands-on workshops with artisans, presentations by local experts on history, culture and archeology, assignments in the markets and museums, and of course, lots of relaxing people-watching and dining in the zócalo, Oaxaca's beautiful town square.

For those of you who want to practice before the SEMANA or who cannot make it this year, or want to try a shorter immersion experience first, or just want to have some fun in Spanish, join us for one of our Spanish immersion WEEKEND Retreats in Point Reyes. Participate in the Latin culture, music, and food for three days!
