Diamond Light School, longtime OPEN EXCHANGE lister, creates a synergy between technical learning and sacred wisdom.

Diamond Light School of Massage & Healing Arts was founded upon the belief that the study and practice of massage therapy is inextricably linked with, and enhanced by, the practice and process of spiritual awakening. We utilize an alternative and innovative approach to training massage therapists - from the inside out. In our work with aspiring bodyworkers and healers, we find that as we redirect our attention from outer distraction to focused inner awareness, we discover a vast storehouse of wisdom, creativity and caring that compliment and synergistically empower traditional technical learning and skill.

In educating over a thousand students over the last two decades, we've come to realize that a program of learning based on sacred intention, meditative awareness, grounded intuition and unconditional compassion, exponentially catalyzed the development of extraordinarily skilled and competent professional massage therapists.

In addition to mastering a rich repertoire of powerful bodywork techniques and acquiring anatomical and business knowledge, our students are trained to tap into the infinite reservoir of energy and intuitive knowing within themselves. We create an environment that inspires them to delve deeply into their own hearts, exploring the essence of who they are.

While we expected our unique approach to foster compassionate, spiritually aware practitioners, we feel especially validated in finding that it also improves their capacity to work precisely and effectively on the structural and anatomical levels, addressing a wide variety of common as well as challenging physical conditions and complaints. This marriage of excellent technical training and spiritual focus has repeatedly resulted in awesome multidimensional (highly employable) massage therapists.

This summer we are celebrating our 20th anniversary at Diamond Light, and many hundreds of our graduates are currently working in the field as successful professional Massage Therapists. We extend our heartfelt thanks to all of you who have participated with us in this beautiful innovative approach to healing and bodywork.
