Happier Than GOD

Life was meant to be happy.
Do you believe that?
It's true....

You were meant to be happy. And if you are happy, you were meant to be happier. Even if you're very happy, you can be even happier. How happy? Just how happy can you be? Well... you can be happier than God.

I once heard a lady describing a gentleman who was very wealthy. She said, "He's got more money than God!" That's how I mean this... to use the ultimate superlative.

I also mean the words I have used literally.... Which brings up a lot of questions. Does this mean that God even experiences the thing called "happiness"? (Yes.) Does that mean that God experiences unhappiness? (No.) If we can be happier than God, does that mean that we are separate from God? (No.) Then how is this possible? ...

Back in the sixties there was a bumper sticker that became very popular. It asked: IS GOD DEAD? The idea behind the question was that humanity had evolved so far so fast that we may have rendered God irrelevant. That thought has been reinforced in recent years with the emergence of teachings on what has been called the Law of Attraction: the purported ability of individuals to create their own reality using nothing more than "positive thinking" and "focused intention."

I know, of course, that God is not dead. And most people agree with me. Surveys have shown that the largest percentage of people in every nation and in every culture believe in a power greater than themselves.

Yet if we humans can obtain and acquire anything we want in life using our own power, of what use is a power greater? What would be its function? What would be its purpose?

The astonishing conclusion that many people are reaching, especially given how the "Fast Track to Happiness" is being taught in some circles today, is that we no longer need God....

It's true.

We no longer need God.

In fact, we never needed God.

We do not need God for anything....

Not needing God is not the same as not having any use for God.... In fact, it is precisely because we have an extraordinary use for God that we have no need for God.

How can we "need" something that we always have, that we cannot not have under any circumstances, that we can always use, and that we cannot not use no matter how we might deny that we are?

You cannot not have God in your life, as part of your life, and this is... the highest promise of God: I am always with you, even unto the end of time.

You cannot not use God even if you deny that you are, and this is... the most wonderful truth taught by all religions, each in their own way:

Ask and you shall receive.

People [who] can't accept this truth completely and utterly misunderstand the formula by which they can create what they wish to experience in their lives.

I call this formula the Process of Personal Creation – what some people call the "Law of Attraction" – and it does not render God obsolete, but exactly the opposite. It makes our experience of God more present, more relevant, and more real than ever.... Personal creation (and the Energy of Attraction that is so integral to it) is a product of Divine Love....

"Attraction" is a gift from a benevolent and compassionate Deity. It is a tool with two handles – one in God's hands and one in ours.... Like all tools, it is most effective when it is used for the purpose for which it was intended... to create a happy, peaceful, joyous life for everyone whose life you touch, and for you, in that order.

Personal Creation is about the power of life to produce more life.... Life, I have come to understand, is God. It is God being God, and becoming what God is next going to Be. This is a complex and extraordinary system that includes a Process that produces an Expression called life.... [L]ife's expression creates life's experience, and life's experience creates life's process... in a never-ending cycle. It is all One.

Life as it is created is the process, life as it appears is the expression, and life as it affects us is the experience. How it affects us is determined by us....

The eternal cycle of process/expression/experience is Divinity Itself. It is God, godding.... All things have their being within the system – and there is nothing outside of that system.

Attraction is part of this system, as are the other great Principles of Life. Conscious use of the Principles that are the foundation of the Process of Personal Creation produces an Expression of life that leads to the Experience of Divinity....

This energy magnet, this Power from God, is being used by us in the Process of Personal Creation ... all the time, whether we are aware of it or not, whether we acknowledge it or not.

So now, when discussing our own power to produce our own reality we never again have to ask, "Where is God in all of this?"

Now we know.
