When the money for art and music in the schools was cut from the California State Budget many years ago, children's test scores in math, science and reading plummeted. So what is YOUR test score today? Your test score is your income.

How can you make your current income go up off the charts? Add art! What I teach people is how to be the 'artist of your life' in order to significantly increase your income. When you incorporate art into each day by learning to use colors masterfully on your calendar, in your imagination and in your environment, you are making yourself more productive, more organized, and you will find that your income will start to rise.

As an artist I know that specific colors have an amazing power to elicit states of being in the viewer. It is such states that ultimately produce your intentions in life. We are hypnotized by our Western culture to think that it is what we do that produces results. Doing is necessary, but if the way of being is not intentional, all the doing in the world will not produce your desired result. If you look carefully at your life you will find this to be true.

Take a minute now to experience a few colors, one at a time, either in your environment or in your eyes-closed imagination. Focus on seeing and feeling each color: red, blue, yellow, orange, green and purple. With each color notice its unique energy and non–verbal meaning. When you changed colors did you feel the quality of energy change?

What was your experience of being with these different colors? It is unlikely that you were thinking about the past or the future. When you experience one of these bright colors it puts you in the present time. It is from this state of increased awareness that you can create magic—and income, too!

There's no reason that you can't make it an hourly experience in your life—having art, having colors, pull you into producing what you intend to produce. One color might elicit an abundant way of being, another one of being nourished and loved. Put color on your calendar whether it is a paper or computer one. If, for example, you use green to generate the abundant way of being, it reminds you, "green—I am going to generate abundance; I'm in charge here."
