What is the Soul? How does it work? How am I connected to my soul? What does it mean to me? Most of us, at one time or another, have probably asked ourselves questions such as these, and struggled to understand the relationship we have with our soul. "Soul" is a word that has many connotations, and some of us may have even wondered if our soul has an impact on our lives, or if it's simply a word that describes an abstract concept.

First, the good news: Yes, Virginia, we all have a soul!

And now for the bad news: The soul has an area of weakness, and that part of the soul is responsible for most of the problems we have as humans.

Our souls exist in the spiritual dimension, and give life, power, and intelligence to our physical bodies and lives, and are also directly connected to the Creator. Our physical health, our ability to create wealth, our relationships, and our ability to have joy and happiness in life is directly related to the condition of our souls.

Each soul is unique, a complex form that mirrors our physical, mental, and emotional bodies. When the soul is whole, which it was originally intended to be, our bodies, minds, and emotions work as they were designed to, without defect. But when we experience trauma in the physical dimension, that trauma flows to the soul.

The root of all of our problems is the result of Trauma in the Soul (TIS).

Let me give you an example of how that works. A mother is driving down the road with her child in a car. They get into an accident, and the child is killed. The trauma of the car accident and death of her child flows from her physical senses, emotional reactions, and mental thoughts into her soul. That trauma is stored in the soul, and at some time in the future, unless the trauma is cleared, it will flow back to the physical body, and can be expressed in many different ways, including disease, mental illness, or even possibly another serious loss in her life.

We can see the condition of our souls by looking at our lives. If there is joy and happiness, fulfillment, robust health, wealth, and great relationships, our souls are healthy and without an area of weakness. The area of weakness is the part of our soul that's wounded and traumatized. This area of weakness is almost always completely invisible to us, and at the very least, mostly invisible to us. It makes us do things where we later say to ourselves, "What was I thinking?"

The area of weakness creates an alter ego that has a whole set of values, ideas, and beliefs, as well as its own agenda that's contrary to our conscious thoughts and desires. And this is what causes certain problems and patterns to reoccur in our lives.

We have to understand how the soul works, so we can start working on it in the proper way. We have to give the soul directions to heal itself. Understanding TIS and the area of weakness is the first step toward doing that.
