Achieving Your New Year's
Resolutions through Sex Magic

Every December most of us feel excited about the unlimited possibilities of the New Year. We reflect upon the previous year remembering what has brought joy and fulfillment to our lives and what has caused suffering and pain. We review the ways we have lived fully and the ways our limits have held us back, gaining clarity about how we would like our lives to look and feel different. That awareness, coupled with the promise of a new year, inspire within us a resolve for change.

But what happens to those commitments we make to ourselves - to lose weight, exercise, meditate? Do our New Year's resolutions really take root or do our desires and ambitions scatter like seeds in the wind, sometimes growing, but mostly not?

A great tantric swami once met a man who was a professional thief. After speaking with him for a long time, the swami finally convinced him that stealing was not the right thing to do. The thief even came to the point of feeling that he was a sinner and the swami thought he had performed a miracle and converted him. After five years the swami returned to his village and found the thief was still following the same profession. Why?

Because the swami had only affected change in his mind, not in his inner being.

To ensure that our good intentions are not thwarted, our intellectual convictions must be supported by our deeper nature—our emotions and subconscious beliefs. "Sex Magic" is a tantric method for manifesting our desires that works on the deeper levels of our being. Its power lies in its ability to tap into the unconscious using sexual energy - creative life force - the most powerful energy available to us. In sex magic, we harness the raw creative energy of the universe and channel it towards manifesting our personal vision.

How to perform sex magic? As you approach sexual climax, bring to mind a picture of what you desire and use orgasmic energy to imbue your vision with that creative power. At the moment of orgasm, breathe life from that rush of highly charged energy into your vision and release it out to the Universe to manifest. You may accompany your vision with a resolve that you say mentally as you see the picture (e.g., "I am delighted with my lean, healthy body.")

Sex magic is a potent form of self-hypnosis. Around the moment of orgasm, the senses are exceptionally alert and the mind becomes highly responsive to suggestion. Partners can work together using sex magic to boost one another up or to fulfill a common dream. Speaking words of healing and empowerment to your beloved during or just after orgasm will sink in deeply, imprinting a beneficial directive in your partner's subconscious.

When the subconscious mind is relaxed and open in this way it is like very tender soil. The mind in its ordinary state of consciousness, with intellect and logic in place, is like hard-packed soil. It does not readily accept a new seed. But the deeper consciousness is not like that. When you sow a seed (an intention) in fertile soil free of weeds (mental objections), it will take root and grow.

When you and your partner wish to realize a shared vision, practice sex magic together. Based upon the principle of synergy, in relationship your creative powers are maximized. A tantric couple I know dedicated several weeks of their lovemaking towards manifesting their dream home in Maui. They succeeded.

When you are practicing sex magic, your visualization should include you enjoying your goal as if already manifested. My tantric friends, for example, may have imagined themselves at the moment of orgasm walking through the gardens of their new Maui home smelling the sweet fragrance of plumeria in the warm tropical air, feeling filled with gratitude. By including a feeling of joy and gratitude in your visualization you open your heart, aligning yourself emotionally with your goal.

Sex magic offers a powerful means for actively transforming and shaping our individual reality. Have fun with it. The communication you send to the universe when generated from a spirit of playfulness will be of a high vibration. The universe will respond in kind.
