The Roadmap to Your Perfect Diet

By Nan Faass, MSW, MPH

Nan Faass, MSW, MPH, can show you how to have a healthy gourmet lifestyle!

Why is it so hard to find the perfect diet? How do you figure out what's right for you? And what do all truly successful diets have in common?

One of the most effective approaches I've come across is the Glycemic Index. I like to call it the Index, because it's a measure of how your food is acting—or reacting—in your body. The Index will show whether your food choices are shooting your blood sugar sky high or keeping blood sugar steady state. You can use this great tool in a number of ways:

 1) Escaping diabetes—
The Index helps you identify foods you're eating that can cause diabetes. Uncontrolled diabetes can cause very dangerous health issues, like heart attacks and strokes. So if you can avoid diabetes—or manage it effectively—you're way ahead of the game.

The Carb Index turns out to be an epic tool for cutting your risk of diabetes by half, to safeguard your heart and mind.

 2) Customizing your favorite diet—
Whether you're a vegan or an omnivore, a raw food enthusiast or a cordon bleu chef—you can use the Index to fine tune your menus for both health and weight loss. Vegan diets, for example, are sometimes heavy on starches. If you are vegan and you love this lifestyle, you can use the Index to identify the healthiest grains, veggies, and fruits so you don't over-carb.

This same approach to health can be applied to any cuisine.

 3) Whipping up a great grocery list—
The Index makes shopping a snap. Just buy foods below a level of 55 on the chart. Clearly there are fine points. But if you want a tool that requires 20% effort that gets you 80% results, you'll definitely want to check this out.

The Pocket Index puts this together for you, all on one page.

 4) Losing weight without dieting—
Most folks are able to lose weight and get healthier, without dieting when they "eat by the Index." This is an approach you'll be able to stick with for life, because you won't have to cut back on what you eat.

No dieting. No deprivation. No calories to count. Just healthy, delicious food.

Try it and decide for yourself—You can download a free copy of the Index at www.TheNoFaultDiet.com.
