Do you believe in Angels? I didn't. Until one night in San Francisco trumped any doubts I had in my skeptical head. I was running late to catch my flight to San Diego to see the man I was dating at the time. I ignored the huge droplets of rain that began attacking my laptop and my new Via Spiga leopard heels. Nothing. I kept glancing at my watch, watching the minutes tick by. 50 minutes before the plane took off. Cab after cab passed by me with a light on, almost taunting me.

Desperate, I remembered my good friend, Zack, telling me that when you're in a crisis, just affirm that Archangel Michael, the Mr. Fix-It angel had already healed the situation. I laughed when Zack first told me that, but what did I have to lose? Aloud I shouted, "Archangel Michael. I need your help right now. Bring me a cab so I can make this flight." And then I waited. Another 3 minutes. Waiting can be the most frustrating thing in the world!

Then, out of the corner of my eye, a cab came literally a stop sign away from me! I put out my hand, my heart racing. It worked! But, as soon as that hand went up, I saw a man in a stuffy business suit getting into the cab!

What?! Was this a nasty prank the Universe was playing on me? Blood rushed to my head and I remember just staring into space, not even blinking, like a caged lioness. Before I could fully succumb to the negative thoughts in my mind, the cab pulled up right in front of me. The businessman was kicked out?! It didn't seem possible. What was going on? When I stepped into the backseat, I was greeted by an older, African American gentleman, his face gently creased with wisdom and serenity that transcended any frustration I had experienced in the last hour.

Noticing my perplexity, he offered, "I saw you first. Where are you going?" I replied, "Oakland Airport. He said, "It gives me great pleasure to have you make this flight. Don't worry about a thing. Now, get going young lady! I TOLD you... Michael would get you there."
