Don't have time to take a class on how to heal yourself? Too busy working, answering emails, or standing in line? Maybe all you need is a set of handy tools that can be linked to your existing day-to-day activities!
Before starting up the car, or waiting for the bus or train to depart... take 3 deep breaths to pull you back into the here and now, and prepare you for change. You are about to shift from being stationary to going 25-65 mph. Acknowledge this transition, and it will make your journey a more pleasant one.
While waiting for your computer to boot up... stand up and stretch. Lift your arms up, tilt your head to the ceiling, and take a deep breath. As you exhale, return your arms to your sides and imagine that you are being showered with love and guidance.
With every sip of water you take... imagine that the water is infused with a brilliant gold-white light, a divine healing energy that lights up every cell in your body when you drink it. And drink more of it!
Every time you hang up the phone... take a deep breath. On the in breath, imagine all of your energy coming back to you. On the out breath, imagine all of the other person's energy going back to them. This keeps your energy clear.
Every time you wash your hands... take a few deep breaths and allow healing energy to wash over your entire body, cleanse your thoughts, and infuse your emotions with a sense of deep peace.
Every time you glance in the mirror... mentally tell yourself, "I love you." If this feels awkward, then it's even more important that you practice this activity.
Before eating snacks or meals... take a deep breath and mentally or verbally express gratitude for the nourishment you're about to receive. This will make the food taste better, digest better, and help you to get the most out of it nutritionally.
Whenever you return home from work or an errand... sit in your car or outside in front of your door for 1-2 minutes first. This will re-set your energies so that you can effectively let go of where you just were, and fully be in the here and now.
No matter how busy you are, you always have access to healing energy by simply setting the intention to receive it. By integrating this intention with everyday activities on an ongoing basis, you'll soon notice thought patterns changing, emotions coming into balance more easily, and feeling more in control of your life. We all have the ability to self-heal. Sometimes we just need a reminder!
